What Services Does CostCare Offer?

Botox and Fillers

To treat mild to severe facial wrinkles, CostCare aesthetics employs Allergen’s neuromuscular blocker “Botox.” Botox is the most popular aesthetic product in the US, and it works by preventing muscle movement, folding, and wrinkles. The effects of Botox typically last 4-6 months.

TempSure Envi

Aesthetic device TempSure Envi delivers 300W radiofrequency technology that penetrates the skin’s surface. The heat applied to the skin’s deep layers encourages the production of new collagen and naturally tones skin.

Your skin’s collagen synthesis is rejuvenated by TempSure Envi, which also helps make wrinkles and lines on your face look less prominent. There is no downtime, and it’s suitable for all skin tones. Over 97% of patients said they were satisfied with the results.

Learn More about Treatment with CostCare

CostCare Aesthetics uses Allergen’s neuromuscular blocker “Botox” for the treatment of mild to moderate facial wrinkles. Botox is the #1 aesthetics product used in the US and works preventing muscle movement and thus preventing skin folding and wrinkles. Botox aesthetics is primarily used to treat crow’s feet, the “11s” between the eyes and the forehead. Touchups can be done 2 weeks after the initial treatment for any area that may not have taken with the first treatment.

Overall, Botox has essentially no downtime and some will have the treatment and return to work the same day. Small wheels of fluid may be seen for up to an hour after injection and abate quickly thereafter. Occasionally, there may be some slight bruising as well. Botox injections have minimal to no pain and are extremely well-tolerated.

Botox is one of the safest products to use in the aesthetics world. Rarely there may be asymmetry after the injection which can easily be corrected. In addition, when treating the forehead there is a very small risk of “brow ptosis” where one of the eyebrows can droop down. This is easily prevented with correct placement of the product.

Our Botox is priced at $12 per unit with a typical dosing of 4 units per injection site. As an example, the crow’s feet are usually injected 2-3 times on each side for a total of 16-24 units (total for both sides). The forehead is usually injected with a total of 10-20 units.

The effects of Botox typically lasts 4-6 months.

Fillers are products of hyaluronic acid that are placed either subdermally (under the skin) or on top of the bone. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring product in the body and when made into a gel form, can be used to “prop” up the skin and smooth overlying wrinkles or give shape to the face.

Filler products are typically used in places like:

  • Lips
  • Marionette lines (deep wrinkles on the side of the mouth)
  • Nasolabial folds (around the nose)
  • Cheeks

Each filler product is designed to be used in specific areas and has its own duration of action.

CostCare Aesthetics currently uses:

  • Voluma (for the cheeks and to add supportive structuring to the midface)
  • Volbella (a light filler for the lips to give better definition)
  • Juvederm Ultra (used in the lips as a plumper and around the mouth and nasolabial folds)
  • Vollure (deeper folds around the mouth and nasolabial folds)

It is best to consult with your provider about which product is best for your specific needs. Click on the link to see before and after photos from Allergen.

All fillers are degradable – meaning they will break down with time and be reabsorbed by the body. Most fillers will last roughly 12 months and some will last longer (such as Voluma for 18-24 months). Listed below is the duration of each product:

  • Voluma: up to 2 years
  • Vollure: up to 18 months
  • Juvederm: up to 1 year
  • Juvederm ultra: up to 1 year
  • Volbella: up to 1 year

Fillers overall have very limited risks. There have been occasions when people have had reactions to the products, or they have developed swollen red nodules. Infection is always a risk when the skin is punctured, and these procedures are no different; however, it is very unlikely. Occasionally bruising will occur which will resolve in a few days. The most worrisome and less likely risk occurs when the filler gets into a blood vessel and can cause immediate whitening of the skin and, if not treated can result in tissue death. CostCare Aesthetics keeps a product on-site for immediate use should this occur.

In general, there is no downtime to the fillers outside of some mild swelling or bruising that may occur. For the lips, however, there is generally a period of approximately 3 days where one can expect at least moderate swelling of the lips and should plan accordingly.

Filler products are sold in 0.5cc (not common to use) and 1cc syringes and costs are based upon the amount used as well as the type of product used. The best way to know what would work best for you and cost would be to schedule a free consult. You can call our office at 541-3046 to schedule an appointment. Currently, the costs are:

  • Nasolabial folds and around the mouth with Vollure: $1500 (1 syringe per side)

Your results will last 9-12 months; however, because they are subject to the continued effects of aging and gravity, most clinicians recommend getting touch-up sessions every 6 to 12 months to fend off new lines, wrinkles, and cellulite.

Learn More about Laser Treatment with CostCare

The Icon™ 1540 utilizes fractional laser technology to deliver specialized pulses of energy into the skin and targeting unwanted wrinkles, stretch marks or scars without causing harm to the surrounding skin. Once the energy is absorbed into the skin the body’s natural healing process will begin creating new, healthy collagen in the area that was treated. Over the next few weeks you will see continued improvement in both the coloration and smoothness of your skin.

Depending on the condition being treated, 1-3 treatment sessions are recommended for skin renewal and 3-5+ sessions are recommended for stretch marks and scar treatment.

  • Face
  • Scars anywhere on the body
  • Full face $499
  • Partial face $399
  • Scar treatment $125 if under 1 inch and $250 if over 1 inch.

Depending on the size of the area being treated, sessions typically take less than 30 minutes. First, we apply numbing cream 20-30 minutes prior to your procedure to so you will only experience mild discomfort. You will then be provided eye shields to protect your eyes from the laser during treatment.

The treatment will begin with the provider guiding the Icon™ handpiece over the treatment area as it delivers energy into your skin.  You will experience redness and warmth to your face. We will provide you with a cooling roller immediately after the treatment to decrease the redness.

You may experience some redness and/or swelling a few days after at the treatment site but this typically resolves by the third day. You may also develop Milia after the treatment. These are small whiteheads that can occur in the treated area.  This is not an allergic reaction but the skin’s response to the treatment.  About 30% of people develop milia post-treatment.

We recommend that you do not apply moisturizer or make up for 48 hours after treatment as it can increase your risk of milia. If this occurs it can take 4-7 days to resolve. You can wash your face with a gentle cleanser.  You must avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area and use sunscreen #45 or higher for 4 weeks after your last treatment.

With patented cooling technology, the Icon ensures that your skin stays at a comfortable temperature throughout your treatment session.
